Bobby update
 
 
Due to unforeseen circumstances, Bobby is now looking for a new home.  As with all our adopted animals, ownership of Bobby reverts back to the Branch and so we are now pulling all the stops to find the right home for him.  He is now 3 years old and because of his stage in life we need to find an experienced owner that is set up and ready to receive a horse like him.

Patricia is a 24 year old Shetland mare, to whom life has not been kind. 

On arrival she was chronically obese, bordering on laminitic and her joints quite literally creaked when she walked.  She was suffering from severe sweet itch and her neck was a mass of painful open sores and rolls of cellulite fat.  Her coat was filthy. Patricia’s eyes were dull and lifeless - she had truly given up on life.

After months of careful dieting, treatment of her wounds and some baths – which she loves – Patricia has regained her love of life.  Patricia requires very careful ongoing management.  She has made some equine friends and is very settled at Horse Haven.
